Saturday, 10-16-09
Parents and Players,
There will be no practice on Saturday, 10-16-09. We are allowing everyone to SAFELY enjoy their Homecoming weekend without having to wake up early for practice on Saturday. We must remember that even though it is homecoming weekend, we are still being held accountable for ALL of our actions. It is your number one priority to remain safe this homecoming weekend; along with making healthy decisions that will not jeopardize your eligibility for a very important game against the other team in Troy next week. With only two weeks left in the season, it's imperative that we all strive to be the best student-athlete this community has ever seen. Enjoy the excitement that this week brings, but do not lose sight on the task at hand.
Good luck! One more opportunity to take care of business!

10-14-09, Wednesday Practice Clarification
Wednesday Practice Clarification.
We will still have study table after school tomorrow, 10-14-09, in the auditorium. Study table will begin at 2:30, and end at 3:25. All Freshman and J.V. players will then leave to the field for their pregame practice. All Varsity players will report immediately to the weight room for their in-season routine. After all members have completed their lifts, we will then report for our Wednesday practice. We are unable to have our normal evening practice due to the Powder Puff game being played at 7:00. All members of the football team are encouraged to show their support for their fellow Redhawks as they participate in this years game. We will of course be positive with our encouragement, and continue to hold this teams character in the highest regard.
Do not lose sight of the task at hand. We have had a great week of practice so far. It is our job to keep this momentum rolling into Friday so we can ensure a much needed - and well deserved - Homecoming VICTORY!!!
Go Redhawks!

10-2-09 Players of the Week
Congratulations to the following Players:
Offensive Player of the Week: Jake Duzey
Offensive Scout of the Week: A.J. Morey
Special Teams Player of the Week: Brandon Wehbe
Big Stick of the Week: Tay Loving
Defensive Scout of the Week: George Abro
Defensive Player of the Week: George Abro
Count on Me Player of the Week: George Abro
Special mention to Sean Smith and Lonnie Boldon for there outstanding efforts in the game as well. Now is the time where we test the true heart and soul of this team. We can either pack up shop and count this season as a loss; or we can bond together greater than ever to set the tone for all of our championship years to come. We are only as strong as our weakest link more mentally than physically. Work harder than you've ever worked before to put that perfect preparation week together. We've made a lot of gains this season, but now it's time to turn it up a notch. Rest up and re-focus. West Bloomfield must - and will - suffer the consequences of our past.
