Banquet Message from Laura Duzey
VARSITY PARENTS,
It is hard to believe that our season is quickly coming to an end. It will be great to end our season with a win against Troy High. BEAT THE COLTS!!
We have collected about 1/3 of the players/parents banquet money. (if you have already paid, thank you!)
The 2010 Athens High School Football Awards Banquet is a great event for everyone involved in the 2010 Football Program.
The entire coaching staff strongly encourages all parents to attend.
If you no longer have the packet we provided to you or your sons, here are the details:
Date: Tuesday, November 23, 2010
Time: 6:00PM (Dinner served at 6:30PM)
Location: San Marino Club
1685 E. Big Beaver Road
Troy, MI
Cost: $18.00 Person (dinner will be served family style)
We would like to have the order and payment turned in by Friday, October 22nd.
Please make checks payable to Troy Athens High School (Cash is also accepted). Please include your name and number attending. If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact Laura Duzey (248)219-4191.
Tickets are only sold IN ADVANCE; no tickets will be sold at the door.
An additional note:
We are collecting $20 for Varsity Players and Coaching Staff gifts – this can be given to Laura Duzey. Even if you are not attending the banquet, the coaching staff and players have worked VERY hard throughout the season. All players and coaches will be presented a gift.

Week 7 Players of the Week and Team Dinner Update

We have two must win games remaining as we head into the final two weeks of the season. We will start the positive end to this season with a victory this Friday against Oak Park. The game has been changed to 6:00 p.m. Thank you to all of the Red Hawk Football family members that made the whole homecoming week a great experience.
Varsity Team Dinner:
Due to the Freshman and J.V. Football games being played on Wednesday, the Varsity Team Dinner will be moved to Thursday, October 14th at 5:30 p.m. The players will be honoring their fathers at the dinner this Thursday. Each of the fathers can report to the dinner between 5:45 and 6:00 p.m. We will begin recognizing each of the fathers at 6:00.
Once again, thanks for all of your support, time, and patience throughout this season. Talk to you soon.

Saturday, 10-9-10, Practice Schedule
Parents and Players,
This is just a reminder that because the Freshman and J.V. game this week has been moved to Wednesday, we need to have a defensive focused practice from 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. for Freshman and J.V. players only. The Varsity will stick to their normal schedule.
